Our largest volunteer project has been the building of Tutka Backdoor Trail. 90 volunteers have joined us in the field scouting, clearing, building, and maintaining this trail since work began in 2016. Volunteers have worked with us by helping make field observations or GIS analysis for our Kachemak Bay State Park map project, helping research and write articles, to produce graphics for the website, and to do web programming. Additionally, volunteers are working with us do field expeditions, looking at Alaska’s melting glaciers, and helping to assess seismic hazards in the area of the proposed Pebble Mine.
