Giant ice crystals reveal themselves in sun-melted ice.
Sun-melted berg: Giant ice crystals reveal themselves in sun-melted ice. Ice will melt more readily at crystal boundaries, and along discontinuities in the crystal, so if ice has been exposed to sun for a while it reveals the fist-sized and larger crystals that make up the berg.
