Glacier's eye:
Holes filled with crystal clear water like this are common on the surface of Malaspina Glacier.
When lightly frozen over and concealed with light snow these became the dreaded "snake holes" that could plunge an unwary foot into bottomless icy water, as likely shredding one's shin on their sharp edge.
