A bite in Malaspina glacier:
On Malaspina glacier, forests grow on the edge of the ice, which accumulates soil as the ice bluffs shrink. At a small lagoon, forests calve into the water below.
Seawater accelerates glacial melting. If this lagoon continues to expand, it may quickly eat away at the glacier.
