Moraine stripes

From far above the curving stripes of gravel-covered ice alternating with bright white dominate Malaspina Glacier. The flow of the glacier gradually stretches and bends these medial moraines, and white ice uninsulated by rock melts faster, so the rocky stripes grow into ice hills covered in a thin layer of rock.
