G-Diapers spotted in the wild

I think this must be the first major glacier expedition that was sponsored by a diaper company.
— These diapers have three components - a cloth outside, a rubber liner, and an absorbant pad. The pad is made of paper and other easily biodegradable materials and so can be burned or handled like adult human waste. The rubber liner is easy to wash, and the cloth outside rarely gets dirty. This makes it a system perfect for light trekking. We'd carry a bunch of the bulky but light pads, and only had to do a small load of laundry about once every two weeks.
