A highly unusual and critically endangered frog (Telmatobius culeus) lives in L. Titicaca. In 2018, Hig and Erin volunteered with the Bolivian Amphibian Initiative to help survey the frogs. Erin would snorkel in the cold lake while Hig lounged in a packraft she towed, recording her observations.
