Archaeological deposit

Wood chips and bones form a layer in this eroding dune. The deposit likely post-dates contact, since the wood chips looked cut by a metal blade. But it is old enough that no sign of whatever was built (a sod house?) remains on the surface - perhaps 150 years or so.
